
During the 20-21 season, he was slated to return to the Metropolitan Opera singing Journalist in Lulu (COVID19). You’ll be glad you caught these artists this time around when they’re joined by the remarkable talent of Claudia Chapa (Azucena) and Christopher Clayton (Count di Luna). Brian's 21-22 season includes debuts with OH singing Manrico in Il Trovatore, MAN in Long Beach Opera and Heartbeat Opera's short film QUANDO, and Timothy Laughlin in Fellow Travelers with Opera Columbus. Pete Opera stage, Michael Morrow (Manrico) was our ill-fated Don Jose in Carmen, and the amazing Alexandra Batsios (Leonora) – who performed beautifully as Konstanze in Abduction from the Seraglio – will light up our stage once again. Our fight director from Carmen and La Bohême Dan Granke makes his return. Petersburg Opera’s critically-acclaimed set for Susannah. We’re also glad to welcome back our lighting designer Keith Arsenault. Karl- you may recall – directed last year’s Carmen, and Glenn Breed created those magnificent costumes for Abduction from the Seraglio. Hesser returns as Stage Director, and Glenn Breed returns as Costume Designer.
